Island Dreamin' Smoothie Bowl


Its 2 degrees in Toronto this morning and compared to the -30 days we have been having it feels like a tropical paradise. I decided to keep he feeling of the tropics going with a smoothie bowl for breakfast this morning. It gets amazing flavor from the added ginger. Ginger has an amazing antibacterial and antiviral affect so it is perfect for this dangerous flu season we have been having. This bowl is also packed with fruits such as acai and blueberries which contain antioxidants to keep you healthy through the winter.




Island Dreamin' Smoothie Bowl

Ingredients


1 cup frozen mixed berries

1 package frozen acai

1/2 cup water

1 banana

juice from 1/2 lemon

1 inch ginger


Toppings:

granola

organic blueberries

shredded coconut

chia seeds


Directions

  • combine all ingredients into blender and blend until desired consistency is achieved

  • pour into a bowl and top as desired

  • •serve immediately
